This is a clip from the VFX Festival 2015. It's part of discussion featuring heads/ representatives of UK VFX / Games studios discussing what they think should be taught in universities. What is clear from the discussion is...they don't know! Each size / type of studio has a different view depending upon its need - For example Dneg wants very very specific skills whilst the medium/ smaller studios want varied and diverse - art, technology and history. It's only ten minutes long but watching it may give you a bit of perspective on your recent application and some of the underlying industry debates and rationale that may fuel any decisions you encounter in the future.
