@Alan: Problematic Elements of the Erlking

I am having some issues with two elements of the Erlking character. 

Element 1 is the branch ornament/detail that starts in front and ends at the back. I am not quite sure what to do with it. I tried wrap deform and it seemed to work ok, but Maya slowed down a lot. Is there a different way of attaching it to the body? 

Element number 2 is the front cloth detail of the Robe. I tried skinning but it looked awful and wouldn't work properly.

    The only 'other' option is to put the branches in a Lattice deformer and then skin lattice deformer to your joints (yes thats possible). You will need to experiment with how many divisions you will need on the lattice so it will take a few tries. Instead of painting weights for a lattice use the component editor.
