Narrative: Lighting Tests

Few low quality renders with lights that have been placed around the set. More lights will have to be added when animating certain shots to support the narrative.

Narrative: Trophy Wall Sketches

As a person responsible for texturing pictures from the trophy wall, I decided to quickly sketch ideas for what Felix's dad could have hanging on his trophy wall in his office.
Sketches below present ideas which will be taken into photoshop and painted properly.

Character Design: 22.10.2013

Today's classes were about changing objects into characters and characters into objects. During first part of the class we were given random types of interiors. Based on objects that can be found in each room we had to create a hero, sidekick and a villain.
The type of interior I've been given was: MUSIC ROOM
An old and forgotten piano ended up being the villain, hi-hat became the piano's loud and annoying henchman and an electric guitar was meant to defeat the forces of evil instruments (althought without it's prop - the guitar stand - the guitar hero was powerless).
The last assignment was to pick one object and transform it into a given character.

Narrative: Designing the Main Character

Figuring out the main character for Narrative project took a lot of time. We started out with a bear who looked like a boy and then we had to change him into a boy who looks like a bear.
This is a set of developmental drawing I did in order to find the right look of that character:

Ideas for the boy's outfit. We needed him to look more round, meaning 'bear like'. Many layers of clothes and baggy trousers were something we needed:

Figuring out children's face anatomy and features:

Face expressions on a design we liked more than others:

Also the boy's dad needed to be designed. It was slightly easier as we only took the bear's design from the beginning and made it entirely human. I don't know why it wasn't so easy with the boy himself!
