With Alan's help I finally managed to finish modelling the Shadow. Below are few details that have been changed - the hands, the extension of the mouth and the jacket.

The Shadow: Soundless Animatic Draft

As the final outcome for the Adaptation project I would like to have a simple character animation which would both present the completed character and the idea of how he behaves. 

The Shadow: Hair Effect Tests

The Shadow's hair is supposed to be animated and have the effect of fog/smoke. Below are few tests I did in order to achieve the effect:

The Shadow's hair is a little bit more complicated process as it is supposed to be moving. For the base of the hair however, I got adviced to use the planes technique.
